Orchids and Thanksgiving

Orchids for ThanksgivingThe wilted array of colors, from yellow to brown to red to blue, on the streets, from falling leaves, and the vibrancy they bring, marks the entry of autumn. It’s time to celebrate Thanksgiving, and what a better way than with orchids for Thanksgiving. After a whole year of blessings, why not have an awesome meal together with your family and friends, in the presence of these beautiful colors, and say thank you. A big turkey in the center completes the picture!

For all orchid lovers, it is second nature to find a way to tie this dear and favorite flower to the occasion. If you are looking to get that contemporary look in this traditional celebration, then the variety of orchid colors will give you just that. You may even want to replace the center piece, the turkey, for these lovely flowers. Alternatively, use them to liven up your gathering. That is, of course, if for you, your turkey comes first.

Need some tips and ideas… no problem. The yellow moth orchid is the best for sprucing up your Thanksgiving event. You can get them readily from your nearest grocery or department store. You may also want to add fresh orchid flowers to your table napkin rings to finish them off.

How about using some edible orchids for your salad and garnishes? Wouldn’t it be cool to enjoy the view as well as the taste? Take a bite of them, and you will be thankful all the way!

You may also want to say a big thank you by giving your guests, friends and family, well-arranged bouquets ofย  flowers, primarily consisting of different colored orchids. If you can, why not even give them a whole orchid plant? They will never forget this day. Above all, use orchids together with other flowers in your arrangements to bring out that desired color contrast.

All said, don’t make this Thanksgiving an ordinary one. Think outside the box and see how you can use your favorite orchid flower to spruce the event up even more. Make sure to include some edible ones in your planning too. Let all the arrangements shout orchids for Thanksgiving!
